The Washington Post is looking for a hard-working Client Solutions Coordinator to join our advertising team.  The CSC will play a key role in keeping our high-profile clients satisfied with expert customer service and in identifying new advertising prospects.  The CSC position will work side by side with the Washington Post's Vice President of Client Solutions, account executives and internal service teams to strengthen and enhance our reputation as a powerful resource for all client solutions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Identify, research and cold call potential clients and create a robust pipeline of vetted prospects for the client solutions team
  • Organize, prioritize and pursue prospective clients using clearly defined processes
  • Record, distribute and monitor incoming inquiries for the entire team
  • Effectively communicate The Washington Post's value proposition to potential clients
  • Create, maintain and distribute leadership team sales pipeline reports
  • Coordinate with the global marketing team to prepare for premier client meetings
  • Manage all activities with internal Service teams including new accounts, financial credit applications, make-up, creating insertion orders, matching work orders, and providing client campaign proofs ensuring smooth and successful execution
  • Assess internal team operations and recommend opportunities for process improvement
  • Assist in orienting new team members 
  • Maintain Vice President of Client Solutions' appointment schedule by planning and scheduling meetings, calls and travel

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Strong skills in communication, customer service, organization and analysis
  • Fearlessness in calling clients
  • Ability to work well with others and to multitask in a deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, draw conclusions and present findings to internal and external clients
  • Ability to assume accountability for completing assignments accurately and in a timely manner
