International Trade - Executive Assistant

Prominent International Trade organization in the heart of Washington, DC is seeking an Executive Assistant with project management and marketing experience.

EA Responsibilities:   Handle administrative support for CMI CEO primarily and CMI team members as needed. This includes scheduling assistance (setting up meetings, working with calendars, foreign travel assistance, external and some internal meeting requests and follow-up, developing and maintaining schedules, maintain records of speeches and other events involving foreign nationals and officials, some document preparation, editing, proofing, etc. In addition appropriate filing, record-keeping and support for time entry and management.

Project Management/Marketing Support Responsibilities:
Support CMI marketing efforts by helping track marketing contacts (use of CRM). Working with CMI leadership team to manage client and target lists, dates of contact and follow-up for new or expanded proposals, weekly reports with team on such contacts, time to close proposals and success and failure of these contacts as aligned to overall goals (and calendars) of CMI.

Additional Responsibilities:
Support overall CMI team as needed when there are critical client projects, events, deliverables, etc. that require help in coordination or delivery – administrative or substantive – to ensure CMI delivers on client needs and exceeds expectations.
Requirements for position:
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree; an emphasis in international relations is highly desired.
Interest in international matters or some experience supporting an organization that works internationally preferred.
Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills absolutely essential. Project management experience highly desired and beneficial.
Interest and experience in working with diverse staff and diverse clients in a fast-paced global environment.
Strong technical and computer skills - Word, PowerPoint, and Excel required. Experience or familiarity with InterAction or similar CRM highly desirable.
