POSITION DESCRIPTION: Full-time professional exempt staff position with full benefits.  The IT Systems Analyst is responsible for providing second tier level networking and helpdesk support for University Recreation & Wellness programs, facilities, and staff.  Specific responsibilities include: network systems management, implementing network and desktop security protocols, maintenance of Microsoft IIS plus website content management system, configuring various multimedia devices, database development and maintenance, data analysis and reporting, securing local and cloud based data repositories, and software and hardware purchasing.  Some evening and weekend work is required.

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have, as a minimum: a Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field and two (2) years of experience with helpdesk, training, and support for end users, one (1) year of experience with Windows network administration, demonstrated ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work independently.  Preferred: Experience with Drupal content management system (version 7 or higher), Quest (Dell) KACE system management, serial, TCP/IP and USB communications, and University of Maryland data warehouse and payroll systems. 

START DATE: January 2, 2018 (negotiable)
