Job DescriptionCrossroads Animal Care Center has been providing for pets in Woodbridge, VA and the Prince William County area for nearly 20 years. We are currently seeking a full time Veterinarian.A Crossroads veterinarian serves as the clinical leader of the Hospital. He or she is responsible for the ongoing evaluation and management of clinical practices as well as the delivery of patient care. The veterinarians works in partnership with the practice manager and CVP to ensure a high standard of medical case management and to provide an excellent experience for our clients and their pets.About the HospitalCrossroads Animal Care Center is a progressive, full-spectrum small animal practice located in Woodbridge, VA. We are a team-motivated, client focused practice with strong attention to preventative medicine as well as a team approach to cases. We also have doctors who participate in clinical trials that offer our clients access to cutting-edge treatments for conditions such as osteoarthritis and Mast Cell Tumors.Our hospital offers both in-house and outside laboratory capabilities (IDEXX), digital radiology, excellent surgical monitoring capabilities, and DVMax computer software used throughout the hospital.We also offer a competitive salary, benefits, and continuing education allowance.QualificationsDVM or VMD degree from an accredited universityLicense in good standing to practice in the state of VirginiaAt least 2 years of practice experienceAccomplished surgical and dental skills preferredJob ResponsibilitiesWork with the team in a collaborative and positive manner and provide leadership to the technical and client care staff.Inspire hospital team to create and maintain a positive and productive environment by setting the example in work habits and communication with staff and clients.Collaborate with associate doctors and practice manager to create and implement medical standards that ensure an excellent level of care to all patients at every visit.Communicate, abide by and ensure compliance to state veterinary governing regulations.Communicate with other departments and attend all required meetings, including staff meetings and the hospital leadership team meeting.Evaluate clinicians performance, including the yearly performance evaluation and a review of completed medical records on a regular basis.Research, present and implement new service and product opportunities, including clinical studies.Be supportive of and contribute to the operational and financial goals of the hospital.Participate in yearly budgeting process, monthly P&L reviews and discuss weekly financial reports with practice manager.Offer support to the practice manager with the strategic plan. Complete additional hospital projects as needed.This position will be comprised of day, evening, and weekend shifts. This position performs a number of activities related to the delivery of medical care and clinical services such as ensuring the breadth and quality of medical care and cost management. Interest in surgery, and dentistry is a must. Partnering with our Practice Manager to learn hospital operations as well as collaborate with our amazing docs and our Lead Team is key.
