Job DescriptionMontessori is looking for a Director Montessori Academy is seeking a Director to lead in the day-to-day operation of the school, train and supervise staff, set instructional objectives, work to build good relationship with parents, enroll new students and maintain/retain current students. The person would be responsible for the organization and management of the school, including special events. He/ She should be able to plan, implement and coordinate a high quality Montessori environment. The person should be able to supervise personnel employed by the school and oversee all matters regarding employment, evaluation and development of personnel. Responsible for consistently meeting Montessori Director responsibilities. Supports Administrative Director in meeting school responsibilities of customer service.Ability to guide/direct, monitor and supervise any age group of students utilizing prescribed Montessori training and techniques.Must have ability to adapt to needs of the students and the community. Maintain and foster positive and constructive interaction with students and parents.Assist with Montessori Teacher training and development.Ensure and assist with maintaining a safe and clean environment.Assist with other duties as needed: may include food preparation, van chauffeuring, answering the phone, responding to parent questions, and opening and closing the school.Participates in special events.Manage day-to-day operations and activities at the school.The desire to go the extra mile because children and families deserve our best effortsSkill in overseeing the day-to-day administrative details of operating a centerCoordinate curriculum, review class lesson plans and program planningHire, train, and evaluate teachers.Supervise teachers, assistant teachers and other support staff. Work actively with teachers to maintain high curriculum standards.Planning and coordination of school events & field tripsPrepare budgets and annual reports.Establish performance goals and objectives.Explain or answer procedural questions.Visit classrooms and observe teaching methods.Review instructional objectives and adjust accordingly.Meet with other administrators, parents, and community organizations.Developing positive relationships with parents, children, and familiesWelcome prospective new students and parents and conducting toursProcessing new enrollment applicationsRecord keeping including maintaining children's files, class schedulesSub/Teach as needed in any age group (18 months to 6 year olds)Company DescriptionAlignstaffing is a premier healthcare, education and social services staffing company serving the Washington, DC area, including and northern Virginia, Prince George County, Baltimore and Montgomery County.
