GPS Grade Control Sales - Construction
Job DescriptionPosition SummaryThis position is responsible for driving sales and demonstration of grade control and other machine technology components within an assigned territory.Key Responsibility Areas (KRA) This position is responsible for driving sales and demonstration of Topcon machine control products, grade control, John Deere SmartGrade equipped machines, and other machine technology components within the territory Works independently to cultivate sales opportunities with Topcon machine control systems as to expand JESCO customer base Works in conjunction with JESCOs Sales team on machine/grade control opportunities Knowledgeable in Top-Con geo-positioning systems as to market this technology to the broader construction market place. Attend and participate in trade shows, conferences and other industry related networking events Maintain records of customer communications, personal visitations and opportunities in the companys CRM systemKnowledge and Skill Requirements Minimum of 5 years experience Prior Sales experience, a plus Vocation or technical degree and/or equivalent work experience or training in grade control 3D modeling, surveying and/or grade checking/control experiences preferred Knowledge of construction and/or industrial equipment operation and applications. Must be self-motivated, assertive and have excellent customer relation skills Requires the ability to communicate effectively with customers by telephone and in person Additional experience with John Deere and Hitachi equipment preferred Must have strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook) Physical Requirements Candidates are expected to occasionally operate, demonstrate, climb up and down and walk around the equipment in an effort to sell to customers. Candidates should have the physical ability to evaluate customer sites and requirements. This includes climbing on the equipment and operating the equipment. Candidates will be expected to drive a vehicle and cover an assigned territory.
