Job DescriptionPOSITION OVERVIEW:Phenomenal opportunity to join a growing team for work in the Pentagon in Washington, DC providing technical support and subject matter expertise for C4 and Cyber requirements, architectures, configuration and data analysis, product definition and design, planning, test and assessment, and evaluation of C4 and Cyber systems. You will also provide technical support to managing and evaluating Service and Joint requirements and programs; provide support to the preparation and evaluation of technical documents, papers, studies, analysis, and briefings to include Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) documents; and to prepare and execute detailed analysis for C4 and Cyber systems.This position requires an active DoD Top Secret Clearance. ONLY applicants that currently hold a current and active TS Clearance will be considered.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND JOB DUTIES:Provide planning, coordination, analysis and measurement for the Joint POC for the CS/IA Program, working with Service Components to identify and mitigate cyber-vulnerabilities to the cyberspace mission sets.Develop, review, coordinate and maintain CS/IA documents, publications, policies, guidance, instructions, and directives.Prepare the Joint Staff to represent the CNSS.Consolidate, analyze, and report Joint Staff and CCMD quarterly and annual information system inventories, vulnerability data, and other metricsEvaluate and assess commercial products suitable for enterprise Cyberspace Network Defense and engage with the CCMD's on readiness to assume new technologies and implementation plans for CS/IA and Cyber Defense.Analyze cryptography and communications security mattersProvide support on vulnerability assessments and make recommendations on the adjudication of risk to US networks.Analyze and assess Courses of Action for Cyber incidents; make recommendations on Cyber Defense regarding ongoing operations or exercises.SECURITY CLASSIFICATION:Applicant must possess an active DoD Top Secret (TS) securityREQUIREMENTS AND APTITUDES:BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or other comparable technical degree from an accredited college/university and five (5) years related experience; or BA/BS from an accredited college/university with ten (10) years related experienceDemonstrated knowledge and understanding of multiple C4 and Cyber systems and IAT-2 QualifiedDemonstrated experience with computer and communications-related programsExperience in cost-benefit analysis to support decision making of alternative designs or architectures and risk assessment associated with approachDemonstrated knowledge and experience in requirements development, product definition and design, and test planning and executionDemonstrated knowledge and experience in JCIDS, requirements management, and Service and Joint military operationsMust have the ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with numerous DOD, military/civilian personnel and industry partnersPossess a high degree of originality, creativity, and initiative requiring minimal supervisionWillingness to travel, as neededDESIRED TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE:IA System Security EngineerCybersecurity Threat AnalystCertification and Accreditation AnalystIA Subject Matter ExpertABOUT US:USS () specializes in technical, enterprise information technology, and network engineering markets.
