Job DescriptionJOB TITLE: Payroll SpecialistLOCATION: Arlington VACLEARANCE: Must be willing to pass company background check.SUMMARY:The Payroll Specialist will ensure accurate delivery and recording of ClientA cents € (TM) s payroll and participate in daily data entry and payroll processes utilizing standard Payroll functional knowledge. This position will impact a rapidly growing organization that primarily supports federal government contracts.EXPERIENCE:4-6 years of experience processing high volume, multi-state payroll is necessaryStrong knowledge of ADP Workforce and ADP ReportingStrong knowledge of Deltek Costpoint 7EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:High School diplomaFPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) or equivalentESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Point of contact for general payroll related mattersPerform daily payroll department operationsResponsible for accurate entry of tax and banking transactionsMonitor weekly and bi-weekly time and attendance filesUpload adjustments and other Miscellaneous files (eg, stock, relocation, bonus and commission payments)Utilize Payroll Processing check lists to ensure all transactions and audits are performedExecute all payroll transactions according to established schedules to ensure that payroll is processed accurately and timelyCoordinate payroll processing of US payroll with ADP Managed Services team weekly/biweeklyRun and distribute weekly/bi-weekly payroll reportsProcess off-cycle payment requests as neededUnderstand proper taxation of teammate compensation and paid benefitsWorking knowledge of Federal and State rules as it pertains to employee/employer taxesProcess accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary (W-2, W-2C, etc. . . .)Maintain, track and coordinate Garnishment processing in conjunction with ADP Garnishment ServicesAssist with maintaining payroll files (ie Payroll reports, CDA cents € (TM) s, bi-weekly update files)CRITICAL SKILLS:Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect personally identifiable informationAttention to detailStrong organizational skillsWorking knowledge of payroll best practicesStrong knowledge of federal and state regulations as it pertains to employee withholdingsStrong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills Company Description
