Position: Maintenance Supervisor Location: Sterling, Virginia Reports To: Maintenance Manager or Operations Manager POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervision of Mechanics and will assign daily work orders equipment, project work, new construction, equipment installation, general building maintenance, and emergency equipment repairs.A' ManageA cents € (TM) s the implementation of the units existing maintenance program to include preventative maintenance. The Maintenance Supervisor will work in collaboration with the operating staff to ensure that the plant is safe and operates at peak conditions on a daily basis. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: A' . Manages and develops staff. A' . Assigns and supervises delegated daily work assignments in an efficient, safe manner and in accordance with established plant GMP and safety policies. A' . Conducts daily inspection rounds of the facility noting the operational status of key equipment and support systems. Communicates directly with the operations departments to coordinate maintenance and repair work in process areas. A' . Directs the work activities of a group of multi-skilled Mechanics responsible for all facets of maintenance work throughout the entire facility. Is A cents € oeon call' as required by plant emergencies and operational needs. A' . Maintains a working knowledge of plant operations and be able to assist other department or operational groups as work or project needs require. A' . Maintains a record of all day-to-day maintenance and service activities undertaken in a facility as well as prepares reports, analyzes data, and makes recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance-related problems. Job Requirements A' . 5 plus years of proven experience in managing maintenance of packaging equipment and related facilities maintenance within the food or packaging industries. A' . Proven staff leadership abilities in supervising, mentoring, and training Mechanics. A' . Possess a sound working knowledge of machinery repair techniques, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, , basic lifting and rigging principles A' . Ensures compliance with AIB, SQF, OSHA and other relevant standards. A' . Food Manufacturing background a plus. A' .
