Edelman Financial Services, one of the nationA cents € (TM) s largest and most well-known financial planning firms, is seeking a skilledFinancial Planning Analyst for our Fairfax, VA office. This position serves to assist Financial Planners ensuring client satisfaction while complying with all regulatory issues. Responsibilities: Performs financial planning analyses for clients including, but not limited to: retirement, investments, estate, tax, education funding, real estate, and risk management needs analysisPrepares presentations, research, and supporting materials for client meetings and reviewsConducts assessments of clients and prospectsA cents € (TM) evolving financial planning needs through proactively reaching out to uncover new financial planning opportunitiesProvides and monitors reports including minimum distributions, performance, billing, insurance policies, and tax consequencesCalculates required minimum distributions, income needs, tax consequences, and contributions/withdrawalsProvides high level contact with clients designed to maintain and enhance the client relationship Maintains working knowledge of the industry, products, and trends Requirements: BachelorA cents € (TM) s degree in Business or Finance preferred, or equivalent industry experienceMust have series 7, and 65 or 66 and Life/Health licenses, or must be obtained within 6 months of employmentMinimum 3-7 years financial services industry experience specifically in a broker/dealer or registered investment advisor environment requiredCertified Financial PlannerTM designation preferred, but not requiredFinancial Services sales experience preferredGood understanding of finance and investment markets/securitiesAttention to detail, ability to organize work, and follow-up skills are critical to the successful performance of position responsibilitiesAbility to prioritize and address multiple projects and meet deadlines is criticalStrong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsStrong conflict management and problem-solving skillsMust be flexible and a strong team playerMust be a self-starter, able to work with minimal supervisionThorough knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, and Excel is a must For more information:EOE.
