Description: We are seeking a Senior Windows Systems Administrator for our Herndon, VA location. The Senior Windows System Administrator is responsible for the overall management and maintenance of the IT back office infrastructure, certain applications, and related business processes. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in establishing active directory architecture and administration of an enterprise windows network and supporting infrastructure applications.JOB DESCRIPTION:This position will be responsible for the following:Implementing and supporting servers, backup and disaster recovery, applicationsVMware ESX/VMWare vSphere in a distributed system environment (Windows Linux)Manage VMware infrastructure including Performance tuning, capacity planning, managing clusters of ESX servers and policy creationScripting (PowerShell, WMI, VB, PERL, etcSAN/NAS (preferably ESX/NetApp) * Experience in capacity planning/mSupporting Citrix (Access Gateway, Web Interface, XenApp 4.5, 5.0, 6.xPerformance monitoring and management in a distributed system environmentAdvanced knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within technical support and Windows Administration.Configuration management in a distributed system environmentEnterprise Backup technologies (eg TSM)Patch Management (eg WSUS)Anti-Virus technologies (eg McAfee, Symantec)Active Directory in a distributed system environmentResolve escalated issues from Service deskREQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business or a related IT field and 10+ years of related experience.Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer Certification (Cloud Platform and Infrastructure, Productivity)Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)Microsoft Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)10+ years of experience with design, implementation, and management of multiple environments with components across all 7 OSI layers.7+ years of experience with Windows 2008R2/2012 domain administration: (Active Directory Services (ADS), Remote Desktop Services (RDS), Group Policy, Logon Scripts, DHCP, DNS, Printer Management, etc.7+ years of experience using TCP/IP, routing, LAN/WAN, firewall rules and configuration, VPN, and other networking technologies7+ years of experince building and managing packages, collections and assignments with SCCM 2007/2012 console.7+ years of experince using SCCM client troubleshooting skills on the Windows 7, 8, and 10 platforms.7+ years of experience installing and configuring of LAN hardware and software.7+ years of experience in overseeing development and implementation of system specifications, designs, integration, testing, and documentation.7+ years of experience in installing and integrating system enhancements and ensure interoperability and a seamless connection between internal and external systems.7+ years of experience in monitoring the computer support to users, resolving system faults, and implementing approved security policies and procedures.7+ years of experience developing risk management and mitigation strategies, ensuring compliance with QA standards, and excellent written and oral communication skillsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Ability to prioritize workflow and organize diverse material and ability to handle multiple, competing and changing priorities;
