Our Client is seeking an experienced Heavy Highway and/or Utility Construction Project Manager, to join a fast growing mid-sized General Civil Contractor based in Northern Virginia and performing work all over the large geographic area of Washington, DC and surrounding counties. The Project Manager will be responsible for all routine project administration, coordination, scheduling and on-site construction engineering activities. Typical projects range between $1M and $15M supporting a wide range of sectors including Federal, State and Local Governments Projects. Position will be responsible for: Manage all aspects of construction development activities and all other utility and heavy highway construction related services Provide strong leadership to ensure a successful, safe, timely, and profitable project delivery and completion Schedule and facilitate all project meetings required to successfully coordinate work activity. Subcontractors coordination Prepare all project billings. Create change order estimates and deliver proposals to clients Manage project documentation Monitoring long-lead items interacting with consultants, clients and contractors Develop relationships with prospective, current, and past clients Perform onsite assessments of project opportunities Traveling to different job sites within the DC Metro area. Work closely with field supervisors and communicate effectively with management on a daily basis. Great Benefits Requirements: BS in Civil Engineering or construction management Must have prior Heavy/Highway experience on projects over $5 Million Minimum 7 years of heavy/civil construction project management experience Familiar with water and sewer, paving, bridge construction, stream restoration, retaining walls, sound walls and all other highway construction Blueprint reading proficiency Strong organizational and time management skills Strong analytical and communication skills Proficient using scheduling and reporting software tools.
