Job Summary The Accounts Payable Coordinator handles all facets of accounting support to members of the Accounting department. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, effective part of the finance team. This position requires excellent organizational, analytical, computer, administrative and prioritization skills along with the ability to perform accurately in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Job Responsibilities Accurate Data entry into accounting software for accounts payable, accounts receivable and journal entries Manage the Accounts Payable functions for a portfolio of communities. Make payments to vendors in accurate and timely fashion Serve as liaison between Property Managers and Corporate Accounting Review and approve invoice batches and scanned images originating from the sites, making corrections as necessary. Originate and manage corporate level invoice batches, including but not limited to, surplus cash distributions and payments. Maintain good relationships with vendors and provide accurate and reliable payment information to vendors. Provide Accounts Payable support to site and home office associates. Maintain accurate files for all accounting entries Communicate open Accounts Payable data to the Accountants and respective Managers. When necessary, assist on file audits and/or due diligence audits. Provide assistance to Accounting staff and complete other tasks and projects as assigned Qualifications Minimum one to three years of accounts payable experience, preferably in a multi-site environment. High School Diploma or GED Knowledge of office equipment operations. Yardi experience with scanning capabilities is preferred. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment demonstrating strong organizational and follow up skills along with an ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact, in English, with a diverse group of associates, managers and external agencies. Ability to read, in English, at a level sufficient to understand policies and procedures, general business correspondence and/or documentation. Strong computer and keyboarding skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and the ability to quickly master new applications Ability to work in a team environment with excellent interpersonal skills.
