Cvent, Inc. is seeking HR Business Partner (HRBP) that will be responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The HRBP serves as a consultant to management on human resources-related issues. The successful HRBP will act as an employee champion and organizational change agent. The HRBP assesses and anticipates HR-related needs, communicating needs proactively with our HR department and business management. The HRBP formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition. What You Will Be Doing Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate. Recommends, develops, and implements programs to promote employee performance, engagement, satisfaction and retention. Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies and make recommendations to business leaders. Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations. Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning. Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs. Partners with HR leadership to recommend, research and implement new approaches, policies, procedures and tools that will build a highly efficient, service oriented HR department. Interfaces daily with HR and operational leaders to provide proactive human resources advice and support. Advises managers and employees on company policy and interprets policy, as needed. Works with compensation and commission analysts on policy interpretation as it relates to unique employment cases such as leaves of absence, remote work arrangements, transfers and separations. May conduct exit meetings, perform analysis on feedback and reports findings and recommendations to HR leadership. What You Need for this Position Bachelor's degree in related field required, with 5+ years progressive HR experience in commercial industry. Hi-tech industry experience is preferred. Possesses broad knowledge of most HR functional areas and has depth of knowledge in employee relations subject matter. PHR certification desired. Must be trustworthy, dependable and able to handle highly confidential information with discretion. Demonstrates ability to operate effectively in an independent manner with good judgment and a solid understanding of both strategic and tactical business needs. Has excellent organizational skills, manages change effectively and successfully juggles multiple projects simultaneously. Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship skills with the ability to shepherd diverse stakeholders to achieve complex business objectives. Self-starter who is action oriented and possesses a strong sense of urgency. Ability to comfortably work in an intensely deadline-oriented environment. Ability to analyze problems and effectively provide solutions. An understanding of corporate culture and how to promote change within a complex global business.
