We are looking for a Senior Accountant - Revenue Recognition to join our Accounting team. This requires the right candidate to possess a willingness to handle a broad view of revenue recognition, financial accounting and reporting matters. Reviews contracts and documents the proposed accounting treatment based upon terms and conditions, the Company's accounting policies; Researches and documents all new contract terms and conditions; Serve as a key member of the ASC 606 implementation team; provide for subsequent accounting; Assists in communications regarding complex accounting information to a wide variety of partners and internal groups; Assist with evaluation of revenue implications for proposed contracts; Prepare various reconciliations, analytical analyses, reserve calculations and balance sheet reconciliations for internal and external use; Review monthly accruals and deferrals related to revenues; Ensure compliance with policies and procedures; maintain compliance with a system of internal controls to ensure integrity of revenue reporting; Prepare journal entries with referenced supporting documentation; and Prepare revenue-related audit materials, and coordinate with the external auditor's staff. Qualifications: BA/BS in Accounting from an accredited institution; CPA; 5+ years of experience with accounting; Experience in public accounting and/or publicly traded companies preferred; Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skills, organizational savvy, strong initiative and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines; and Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP.
