Split Shift Student Life Assistant The Student Life Assistant is responsible for monitoring and supervising students during the main hours of the Student Life Program and providing support to the student life counselors during the afternoon and evening hour activities. The Student Life Assistant will also support the teaching of the character education and the discipline of the students while assisting students in maintaining relationships with their family of origin. Duties and Responsibilities: Nurturing, Educating, and Supervising Students: Supports student life counselors in nurturing each student entrusted to their care consistent with the Student Life Supports student life counselors in fostering relationships between students and their families of origin Supports student life counselors in protecting the rights and dignity of individual students Supports student life counselors in attending to students' health care needs Supports student life counselors in attending to students' mental health needs Supports student life counselors in attending to the moral, and character development of students Supports student life counselors in managing and evaluating the students' individualized goal Supports student life counselors in teaching social, self-help, life-long learning, and basic life skills Supports student life counselors in facilitating student scholastic achievement Supports student life counselors supervising/assessing students' performance Supports Student life counselors in attending to students' personal safety Supports student life counselors in facilitating student leisure and recreational activities Teaches students healthy lifestyles Supports student life counselors in maintaining a developmentally appropriate behavior management system Facility Management: Supports student life counselors in managing and maintaining the house/residence hall facility Supports student life counselors in managing and maintaining the house Program Development: Supports student life counselors in developing and maintaining individualized student programs Supports student life counselors in maintaining house Professional Development: Achieves and maintains Student Life Program Split Shift Student Life Assistant Bachelors or equivalent work experience in social sciences or related field A minimum of two (2) years' experience in adolescent development, residential/boarding education, counseling, or related field Schedule: (with opportunity to live on campus for free) 6:00 am to 8:30 am - Monday thru Friday 3:30 pm to 10:00 pm - Monday thru Thursday 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm - Sunday (every other month) To apply please send your resume [Click Here to Email Your Resume] EEO.
