Job Summary: Carlisle Construction Materials, a worldwide leading diversified manufacturer of premium building products and related technology has an immediate opening for a Manager of Payroll & Benefits, at its Carlisle, PA location. The Manager of Payroll & Benefits is responsible for managing and executing processes associated with the timely and accurate processing of payroll and benefits administration. This individual will be entrusted with the oversight of our processes and procedures related to the payroll and benefits management process, while providing excellent customer service to our employees. The Manager of Payroll & Benefits will be adept in HRIS technology and applicable wage and hour laws, and benefits administration. This role will also be responsible for processing specific transactions, such as executive payroll. They will lead a team of others responsible for the full execution of payroll and benefits administration. Primary Job Responsibilities: Manage and guarantee disbursement of multi-state payroll, including garnishments, benefits and taxes to employees consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws. Ensure the processing of new hires, temporary workers, transfers, promotions and terminations are accurate and timely. Manages payroll staff, including recruiting, selecting, orienting, and developing employees. Completes work by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results and reviewing progress. Audit W-4s, payroll balance sheets, YTD earnings, etc. Determines payroll liabilities by approving the calculation of employee federal and state income and social security taxes, and employer's social security, unemployment, and workers compensation payments. Balances the payroll accounts by resolving payroll discrepancies. Communicate actively with Operations & Finance to review cross-departmental impacts and reconcile data. Responsible for the compliant setup and usage of designated HRIS platform. Manage regular preparation of relevant management reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc. Personally responsible for executive payroll, COLAs, & annual bonus processing. Addresses payroll and benefits related questions and responds to requests. Maintains payroll guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures. Analyzes benefit related information (ie, enrollment, costs, etc.) and provides management with information and suggestions regarding the benefit programs. Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions. Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Creates and maintains benefits related communications and executes open enrollment strategy using a variety of methods. Applies a continuous improvement mindset to all facets of the job. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
