Risk ManagerHITT is seeking a Risk Manager (Insurance and Claims) who will assist the Director of Insurance in the administration of HITT's insurance program and claims. The position requires collaboration with internal staff, insurance brokers, claims adjusters and underwriters, and safety personnel to identify exposures to loss and assist in minimizing risks to the HITT's assets and operations.The ideal candidate is a self-starter that has strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.ResponsibilitiesManage all claims (includes workers compensation, general liability, builders risk and automobile) for HITT.Reporting the claims to insurance carriersFollow up with adjusters on status on claimsMaintaining an updated OSHA logSetting up quarterly claims reviews with insurance carriers, as neededProvides claim analysis and monthly reports to Director to assist with risk control reduction strategies.Responsible for all monopolistic (OH, WA, ND and Canada) worker's compensation programs and meeting the requirements for HITT with jobs in those states.Assist Director with administration of subcontractor default insurance (SDI) and contractor controlled insurance program (CCIP), as neededManage the documentation and communication with operations team on insurance procedures related project exposure and on any Owner Controlled Insurance Programs (OCIP).Manage the insurance renewal process as it pertains to obtaining underwriting information and completing insurance renewal applications.Assist Director with approval of all insurance related invoicesResponsible for analyzing insurance policies and preparation of insurance summariesAssist with internal communication and strategies related to insurance program recommendations and initiatives. Update and maintain the Insurance Intranet pageSupervision of staff maybe requiredOther construction insurance duties as assigned. QualificationsBS in Finance, Business, or Risk Management, helpful if have ARM, CRIS, CRM Designation6 to 8 years of experience in risk management, insurance, claims management, or brokerageIndividual must have a firm understanding of various property and casualty insurance and risk management concepts.Broad knowledge in construction claims managementBroad knowledge and experience in insurance and construction risk management.Demonstrated ability to analyze claims and work with Director to resolve coverage issues.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to handle multiple tasks in a timely mannerEffective communication skills, strong organizational and analytical skillsAbility to work independently in a fast paced environmentAbility to work under pressure, organize priorities, deal with interruptions, possess above-average communication skills, and maintain flexibility and confidentialityProficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)HITT Contracting Inc. is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer - Minorities/Females/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.
