Booz Allen partners with public and private sector clients to solve their most difficult challenges through a combination of consulting, analytics, mission operations, technology, systems delivery, cybersecurity, engineering and innovation expertise.Financial Reporting Analyst, LeadKey Role:Ensure the proper application of US GAAP, provide transaction-oriented accounting and reporting assistance, including the development of research and preparing of technical accounting memoranda, and review the accounting treatment for technical transactions with senior leadership. Lead the implementation of company-wide accounting policies, new accounting standards, and other applicable financial reporting guidance. Support accurate and timely accounting recognition and related periodic close and reporting procedures associated with revenue, purchase accounting, share-based payment compensation, derivatives, and non-routine transactions. Lead due diligence and integration of accounting functions associated with acquisition and interaction with investor relations, treasury, legal, financial planning, and other corporate functions. Review quarter tax provisions with the Booz Allen tax leadership and support the Booz Allen external financial reporting team's preparation of periodic SEC financial reporting. Lead interactions with Booz Allen's external auditors on highly technical and complex accounting areas and contribute to Booz Allen's overall system of internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, including updating and documenting revenue recognition process flows and controls and monitor existing and emerging financial accounting and reporting requirements. Basic Qualifications:-12+ years of experience with US GAAP or SEC reporting in a public company or public accounting firm-Ability to show highly adept time management expertise and manage competing priorities and tasks effectively-Ability to communication with all levels of staff-Ability to obtain a security clearance-BA or BS degree-Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) License Additional Qualifications:-Experience with revenue recognition, accounting, and reporting practices of a publicly-held IT government services contractor preferred-Ability to demonstrate and make well-reasoned decisions in a professionally skeptical manner-Ability to demonstrate high proficiency and expertise in the Microsoft Office, including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills-Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills-MA or MS degree Clearance:Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
