What You Will Do:Under limited supervision, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for diagnostic nuclear medicine imaging at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Will perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative in applying technical imaging factors and anatomical positions. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will demonstrate a professional approach in his/her work, with emphasis on patient care, while still maintaining patient safety. Be responsive in the need to use proper radiation safety principles, both for the safety of the patient as well as themselves and co-workers. Assume responsibility for designated area as required. Patients served include infant through adult-geriatric.PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES1. Accepts change as apart of the problem-solving process.12. Consistently applies resolutions that have been identified as effective. Demonstrates effective communication methods andskills, using line of authority appropriately.13. Attends hospital and departmental meetings as required or assigned.What You Need to Be Successful:High School diploma or equivalent required.Graduation from an approved and accredited nuclear medicine educational program required.Licensed as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in the State of Maryland required.Certification by ARRT, or NMTCB preferred.Possess experience, determined to be adequate by Radiology Administration, to operate equipment and evaluate images.Current BLS certification, or obtained prior to providing direct patient care is required.We are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
