reputation for building quality electrical and communications installations building value for clients and building people within the company The Project Manager Critical Power Group is responsible for achieving the projecta s objectives S he works closely with the Project Executive and Project Team to define the project objectives create a plan and executing the plan to achieve project objectives The Project Manager has a working knowledge of the technical and organizational environments in which the project deliverables are created and in which they will be applied S he may also assist in the strategic planning for the Critical Power team the overall organization and the end user The Project Manager Critical Power Group must be an excellent communicator at all levels within the mission critical environment quality and risk minded be proactive exhibit strong leadership qualities and be able to adapt to a dynamic and potentially geographically disbursed mission critical environment ESSENTIAL DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES Provide initial client contact to assess scope of work schedule and resources necessary to successfully complete a project Prepare a complete estimate for selected project with a detailed review of plans specifications and bid form Plan and organize a project under the directions of a Senior Project Manager or Division Manager Establish project objectives assist in the development review of project associated Methods of Procedures MOP Construction Methods of Procedures CMOP policies procedures and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policies Supervise the preparation and negotiate of all change orders on the project Monitor project activities in conjunction with the onsite Foreman and Area Superintendent to ensure project s is are being built on schedule and within budget Investigate any potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures within company guidelines and under supervision Supervise the preparation of any and all change quotations for presentation to the prime client Manage and negotiate all change quotations to a conclusion Prepare monthly costing reports under the supervision of a Senior PM or Division Manager Manage financial aspects of contracts progress billing rental equipment income expenses to protect the companya s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with the client Review any documentation prepared by field team and or Assistant Project Manager before submission Continually identify and proactively manage project risks issues ensure execution of corrective action plans up to closure Represent the company in project meetings Participate and contribute in subcontractor qualification and bid solicitations Contribute in bid evaluation The duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position This is not a complete listing and other duties may be assigned based on the positions role within the business unit EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelora s degree in Construction Management Electrical Engineering or other related discipline preferred Minimum yearsa experience in the mission critical field and electrical industry Project Management roles Can be a combination of training education and relevant work experience KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES Ability to understand follow and develop Method of Procedures and standard operating policies procedure within a mission critical environment Extensive knowledge of mission critical environments and operations Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance Effective performance management skills Extensive knowledge of safety protocols and procedures Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office Outlook Word Excel etc Accubid and Oracle preferred Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks changing priorities as necessary Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position Ability to be self motivated proactive and an effective team player Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees both management and staff alike vendors clients and others TRAVEL a WORKING CONDITIONS General work environment a sitting for long periods standing walking typing carrying pushing bending Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and
