Job DescriptionPOSITION DESCRIPTION:The successful candidate will be training Federal and Contract staff on the use of the Department of States grants management system, Grant Solutions (AKA SAMS). Primescape is looking for a driven individual who delivers outstanding customer satisfaction through a positive attitude, diligent work ethic, and strong written and oral communication skills. The selectee will receive training on the DoS SAMS application and DOS federal assistance policies as a part of their orientation. Upon completion of the initial training the selectee will serve as an Application Support Specialist. In this role, the selectee will continue to provide training on an ad hoc basis as new users are assigned to the system. However, his or her duties will expand to also include answering user questions about the SAMS application, trouble shooting user questions and issues with the software system. The selectee will also be responsible for developing training materials that integrate written as well as graphical instruction. This person will serve as a Point of Contact for Department users and interact with the system owners (Health and Human Services) customer help desk.EDUCATION AND YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Training Specialists must have at least three years of training experience and some IT experience. Bachelors Degree or 3 years related experience. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:Required SkillsSecret ClearanceSoftware System Application backgroundStrong Customer Service skillsStrong technical and business writing skillsAbility to work in a positive, fast paced environmentExpert knowledge of MS Office product suiteBA degree in Business, CIS, or similar is a plusPrior Federal Government experience a plusDesired SkillsKnowledge of Department of State Federal and Foreign Assistance processes.Tier I support experience.Certified Trainer Certificate.Specific understanding of the Grants Management Line of Business (GMLoB) grants lifecycle.Prior experience with GrantSolutions.gov or Grants.govJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Deliver approximately 5 different training classes in addition to one-on-one training.Work on a team of approximately 6 Trainers. Position will be working with personnel in multiple Department of State Bureaus on the subject of Federal AssistanceProvide expert knowledge of the grant management system and top notch customer support to over 800 users over the phone and through emailTrack and activity manage all customer communications.
