The Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center (DVBIC) is a part of the US Military Health System. Specifically, DVBIC is the traumatic brain injury (TBI) operational component of the Defense Centers of Excellence for Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury (DCoE). DVBIC's mission is to serve active-duty military, their beneficiaries, and veterans with traumatic brain injury through state-of-the-science clinical care, innovative clinical research initiatives and educational programs, and support for force health protection services. DVBIC fulfills this mission through ongoing collaboration with the Department of Defense (DoD), military services, Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), civilian health partners, local communities, families and individuals with TBI. We are in need of a Senior Statistician to develop statistical analysis of TBI outcomes data to support development and define the scope of TBI health outcomes. Responsibilities: * Provide analytical support for the DVBIC program for TBI surveillance. * Facilitate the collection of quality data for appropriate analysis * Independently generate reports assessing TBI health outcomes * Facilitate the collection of quality data from various agencies and generate reports and briefings accordinglyQualifications: * 10 years' experience in the specific discipline in which academic degree has been obtained * Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics or related fields * Knowledge of healthcare data analysis * Demonstrated experience and ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing Applicants selected will be subject to a US Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
