Full-time position for a Human Resource and Safety Manager focusing on recruiting qualified applicants for multiple locations. Duties include but are not limited to: Perform searches through a variety of resources for qualified candidates according to job criteria Monitor/maintain incoming applications, schedule interviews Make recommendations on candidates based on job descriptions and hiring standards Facilitate background checks, drug screens and physicals Maintain current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity guidelines Ensure recruitment files are completed in accordance with compliance standards, which includes applications, evaluations, applicant tracking, etc. Conduct Company required orientations and oversee training process for all new hires Assist with training files for all employees Work with IR team to continually improve plans, programs and processes to reduce cost, increase value, and promote highly effective recruiting support to the organization. Know or have the ability to learn California labor law Provide direction on all safety and health issues Facilitates and track all Safety Team activities and performance, Safety Incentive Programs, and safety audits Conducts and coordinates The ARB (Accident Review Board) Establishes and communicates safety policies Trains employees and management in safe practices including: required site safety certifications, safety equipment and personal protective equipment Conducts accident investigation and provides recommendations to prevent reoccurrence Provides information to top management on accidents, causes, and costs and recommends long-range accident reduction and cost containment objectives Inspects facilities, machinery, equipment and personnel practices to identify potential safety and health concerns and hazards Acts as company representative in dealing with government agencies on safety and health matters. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes and rules including OSHA Enforce company policies and procedures * This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed; they are only the major duties.* Associates or Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or relevant years of experience. * Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks with attention to detail * Strong presentation and communication skills * Ability to speak to candidates using a high level of professionalism * Strong judgment and decision making skills * Strong computer proficiency, specifically Excel and Word
