Fall Internship - Marketing/Communications Department Are you pursuing a degree in marketing, PR, communications, advertising or event management? Hargrove, Inc. is seeking an intern to support the Marketing/Communications Department in the day-to-day planning and execution of internal and external objectives. This internship will enhance your academic experience with practical, hands-on experience. Internship Job Summary DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The duties of this position include but are not limited to: Perform research and compile findings/data into reports, spreadsheets and other documentations to support both new business opportunities and client activations. Assist with the researching and sourcing of materials, supplies and services. This may involve direct verbal and/or written communications with clients, vendors, venue contacts and colleagues. Assist in developing custom marketing initiatives, press releases and social media content. Assist with B2B marketing activities including trade shows and events. Help produce written and digital marketing materials, client lists and targeted email campaigns. Learn and use various corporate databases to communicate information to other departments. Duties may include generating internal work orders for clients; creating, distributing and approving project-related materials such as graphic proofs, floor plans, detail drawings, renderings, print and cloth samples, etc. Enter requisitions for purchases into database. Support any corporate functions as needed; assist with preparation for client visits/ luncheons/tours, industry events. Provide administrative support for the department as needed: typing, making copies, faxing, scanning, filing, scheduling meetings, labeling and sending packages via courier/ground carrier, etc. REQUIRED SKILLS AND TRAITS Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), social media, marketing and digital communications Strong organizational and time management skills; detail focused Excellent verbal and written communications skills Ability to prioritize and multi-task Thrive in a fast-paced environment while achieving deadlines Ability to collaborate with other team members to achieve goals and formulate solutions Demonstrate a creative, proactive personality and effective follow through InDesign and Photoshop skills a plus Enthusiasm and positive attitude a must!!
