Vencore is an AA/EEO Employer - Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled Responsibilities LANDMARK Ground Support Services (GSS) - Project performs technical planning, systems integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analysis for total system. Analysis are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication , test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.The Acquisition Analyst assists government procurement agencies develop acquisition strategies, work statements, evaluation plans and qualify vendors. They will be involved through the entire acquisition life cycle, from pre-award planning through solicitation preparation, contract award, contract administration and contract close-out. The analyst will apply knowledge of the defense acquisition process in the analysis and improvement of acquisition process policy and procedures to devise strategies for deploying and implementing new acquisition policy initiatives and measuring the effectiveness of implementation. The position uses quantitative analytical techniques to assess system acquisition process issues and develop risk reduction/mitigation approaches for improving acquisition/program planning, control, and execution and also participates in developing acquisition plans, source selection documents (including evaluation criteria), Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE), justifications and approvals, synopses, and requests for proposals/quotes/bids. The individual will also assist with the development of pre-award technical documentation (solicitation, IGCE, Technical Evaluation Plan (TEP) and Technical Evaluation Report).Direct Duties: The Acquisition Analyst will focus on activities supporting Space Situational Awareness (SSA) for the customer. This will entail a focus on the requisite foundational, current, and predictive knowledge and characterization of space objects and the operational environment upon which space operations depend, which may include physical, virtual, information and human domains. SSA is seen as a pre-cursor to prosecuting Defensive Space Control and Offensive Space Control objectives and includes activities for: Detection/Tracking/Identification, Threat Warning and Assessment, Intelligence Characterization, and Data Integration and Exploitation. Requires 0 to 2 years with BS/BA or 6 to 8 years no degree.Total Lifecycle Acquisition Management Support Services - Develops solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope following detailed instructions. Work is closely supervised.In support of the Landmark GSS contract with the customer, the following activities represent the type of work to be performed in support of the customer in the Total Lifecycle Acquisition Management Support role.Instead, it is meant to provide a generalized understanding of the type of work to be performed.
