A career with EMA has never been more rewarding EMA is a physician owned practice with a rich history of innovation and successful partnership with some of the most renowned highly regarded hospital systems in the nation Since its creation in EMA has maintained all of its contracts which demonstrate our commitment both to our hospital partners We are gaining more grounds exploring new opportunities partnering and collaborating with amiable forces in the healthcare industry We are seeking a HR Generalist to coordinate day to day HR operations including benefit administration employee recognition programs orientation event planning and HRIS system data entry Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for the administration of the group benefit programs medical dental vision life insurance health savings and flexible spending accounts Serves as primary contact for all vendors Ensures data feeds are received in a timely manner Manage annual open enrollment process including coordination of information sessions Data entry and associated reporting for all employee information new hires separations status changes etc in HRIS system Plans organizes and conducts new hire orientation sessions Plans and conducts company events such as quarterly PMST luncheons flu shot clinic wellness seminars and holiday programs Includes employee recognition program for PMST employees Coordinates PMST recruitment and hiring process Completes mandatory compliance reporting including OSHA EEO and state new hires for MD VA and WV Manages unemployment claims attends appeal hearings and coordinates issues relating to unemployment cost management Manages Workersa Compensation claims Responsible for the administration of the FMLA benefit processes Benefit administration associated with health and wellness plans for all employees Provides assistance to employees serving as a first line of contact for all related questions and issues Analyses and communicates data trends for employer s self funded medical plan Requirements Bachelora s Degree and two to three years of experience in a human resources environment PHR certification preferred Maintains strict confidentiality with all information and records Knowledgeable in federal state and local employment laws Ability to speak write and read English fluently ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing
