Helios HR is excited to be partnering with a non-profit organization with headquarters in Silver Spring, MD, in their search for a Human Resources Manager. This healthcare association is seeking an HR professional who has broad HR subject matter knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team setting.The Human Resources Manager will play a significant leadership role and oversee the implementation, coordination and administration of all human resource programs and functions including, but not limited to: employment management, employee relations, compensation, benefit administration, payroll, regulatory compliance, policy development, and employee engagement programs in accordance with corporate policies and programs. The HR Manager will coordinate with the HR Director on talent management and learning and development functions to ensure a cohesive suite of professional services. This individual will supervise and provide leadership and mentoring to one HR Specialist and other internal and external providers of services. Responsibilities Provide day-to-day HR support to the organization's workforce, including remote employees.Lead HR management process improvements for streamlining efficiencies and the development of new programs.Ensure the legal maintenance of accurate employee records and human resources programs and activities on a timely basis and in accordance with corporate requirements.Maintain employee and HR policies/handbook and manage a SharePoint repository.Manage company benefit plan renewals and employee enrollments. Ensure the implementation, explanation, administration and management of corporate benefit programs. Manage 401(K) Plan annual audit and IRS 5500 filing. Provide assistance to the HR Director in recruiting activities including administration of Halogen ATS, assisting hiring managers with the development of position descriptions, sourcing resumes for open positions, scheduling interviews and maintaining communication with candidates. Conduct new employee orientations and implement new initiatives as needed.Serve as a liaison between employees and managers in disputes and conduct investigations as required. Oversee the use of the organization's HRIS (ADP) and utilize the HRIS and Excel to prepare and generate management metrics and reports. Gather, input, and retrieve electronic data to prepare reports and presentations to management, staff, and the Board.Assist in the preparation/implementation of the HR department budget and approve/track HR department expenditures. Consult with management and employees at all levels on various employment issues and maintains pulse of employee morale.Coordinate with payroll department in managing compensation, taxation, deductions, garnishments, etc.Provide input to and manage the approved wage and salary policies in accordance with the corporate policies and procedures; research market trends, external equity, incentive compensation, and compliance with governmental wage and hour regulations.Be responsible for filings and compliance in regulated and non-regulated reporting. Stay current of relevant developments in legislation/regulatory issues and other trends in areas of responsibility that may impact business operations. Utilize organizational assessments and surveys to understand employee engagement and monitor the culture.Develop strategies to improve engagement and address organizational challenges. Lead the administration of the performance management process. Provide input to managers for performance reviews as needed.Work with vendors to secure scalable functional support services.Coordinate groups and committees/special interest groups and activities.
