Customer Order Specialist
Position Summary: Respond to customer inquiries regarding spare parts for aircraft and availability of parts for competitor aircraft. Respond to customers with efficiency and engage in positive interpersonal exchanges. This position requires the incumbent to be on call and the position designated as essential (subject to mandatory attendance - incumbents in essential positions are required to attend their normal place of work when the facility is closed). This assignment is expected to be approximately 3 months in duration. Primary Responsibilities: Respond to customer inquiries by providing requested information on availability, cost, order processing, sourcing, returns, discrepancies, transport and delivery follow up. Engage on a basic level in conversational relationship-building with customers. Emphasis on positive services/qualities to encourage customer confidence. Process multiple transactions including: customer orders, quotations, initial order receipts, order entry, order processing, sourcing escalation, backorders, backlog management, general logistics, etc. Respond to technical inquiries utilizing Technical Documentation and sometimes liaising with technical and engineering departments. Support Sales and Finance debt accounts reconciliation efforts. add to Senior Utilize SAP to place orders and document order-related information (customer communications, etc.) to ensure traceability. Understand and follow Export Compliance regulations Perform other duties as assigned. Additional Responsibilities: Identify external solutions and steer customers to proper source for required material. Address special events according to established procedures. Qualified Experience / Skills / Training: Entry level customer service experience in a fast-paced environment. Experience in an aviation or military support environment is preferred. Experience with SAP is preferred or in other integrated business systems Education / Special Qualifications: (Certifications, Licenses, Clearances required) A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales Administration or a related field preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with engineering/technical drawings is preferred.
