Risk Management Coordinator
Risk Management Coordinator Responsibilities: Handles claim intake process which includes reporting all WC injuries to carrier via web based applications Create and maintain new claims files, ensuring all documentation is present and correct. Follow-up with branch personnel on driver status, documentation requests, etc. Maintain and track WC status changes in E-recruit system Communicate driver status on all new claims with claim adjusters Handles follow-up on outstanding medical or payment status requests. Complete wage reports on all claim files as requested. Maintains claim registers. Prepares new claim activity reports monthly. Handles certificate of insurance (COI) requests and intake process. Reviews incoming COI's to ensure compliance with agreements are appropriate. Reviews New Client notifications to ensure document compliance Tracks COI expirations and follow-up. Supports the insurance renewal processes. Research topics and create drafts for safety newsletters. Handles safety newsletter mailings and e-communications Provides phone queue support Other duties as assigned. Requirements: Associate's degree in insurance or related field preferred with 1-3 years experience in casualty insurance or claims; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with insurance industry/technical terms and processes. Must be an independent thinker, with an orientation to solutions. Solid organizational, interpersonal and oral and written communication skills. Ability to preserve confidentiality of information. Accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks/projects. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher); familiarity with Adobe Acrobat. Ability to communicate effectively internally and with third parties Education: College Degree (preferred). Experience in Transportation (preferred).
