Open position for a regional Skilled Trade Recruiter for a Large, East Coast, Mechanical Contractor. Primary focus will be recruiting for open or future positions in our Mid Atlantic market. Some local travel to job site may be required Position responsibilities: Ensures an ideal candidate experience consistent with our brand image. Conducts full cycle recruiting including sourcing, candidate resume/application analysis, screening, initial interviewing, further interview coordination, comparing skills to job requirements, conducting reference checks and selection of candidate. Collaborates with Resource Manager to assess future skill requirements and develop appropriate talent strategies. Assists with design and implementation of external candidate recruiting programs that attract, select and retain a qualified, diverse workforce. Uses multiple sourcing techniques including cutting edge technology/social networking Experience with interviewing techniques. Facilitate and Track all efforts for EEO Analyzes position competency requirements and required craft skills to identify candidate selection criteria and moves forward making key selection decisions. Evaluate forecasted workforce needs and provide efforts to ensure appropriate placement of skilled trades in required quantities. Utilizes local labor market and current industry trends in developing recruiting strategies. Leverages appropriate sourcing strategies (ie advertising, career fairs, networking etc.) to ensure a constant flow of interested qualified candidates. Develops a robust candidate pipeline while building and maintaining a strong referral network. Facilitate current employee transfers to meet new project man loading Maintain contact with previous employees to utilize them as a resource for project needs Utilize candidate assessment tools (interview guidelines, reference questions, candidate evaluation methods) based on company protocols. Collects relevant information and data for tracking of the recruitment process. Manage the local Application process per company protocols Coordinates placement of job advertising and utilizes online recruiting sources to find and recruit candidates. Establishes priorities for managing own work and stays on a focused, efficient path toward achieving results. Proactively sources passive candidates. Conducts cold calls utilizing database searches Other duties and projects may be assigned Job Requirements Experience in hiring skilled trades is MANDATORY, proven experience recruiting Plumbers, Pipe Fitters and Pipe Welders is a PLUS Expertise in volume hiring and understanding of talent acquisition, workforce planning, process development and its impact on overall business strategy. Working knowledge of recruiting/staffing policies and procedures and compliance regulations and ability to apply policies, procedures and regulations appropriately. Must possess the ability to work in a high-stress, rapid paced environment. Must be a self-starter and have the ability to manage own performance. Effectively, plans and organizes time and priorities to achieve business results. Effective communication, organizational, written, interpersonal and analytical skills. Great attitude and team player. 5+ years of high volume corporate and/or agency recruiting required
