Essential DutiesMaintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.Provides support to employees and management team.Establishes and maintains compliance of Medical, DOT, Driver Certification Portal, Training, Personnel, Workers Compensation, and Incident files.Manages payroll process and provides backup support to the payroll administrator.Reviews benefits, rate changes, deductions and reimbursements.Responsible for recruiting through Bird Dog HR/LinkedInAssists applicants through the application/onboarding process and coordinates 90 day follow up.Responsible for completing I-9 verifications upon first day of work for new hires.Maintain and assist in the development of job descriptions/requirementsMaintains badging compliance required by clients and ULCS corporate office.Arranges Pre-Employment, Random and Post Accident Screenings though eScreenProcess annual reviews, background screenings and Motor Vehicle ReportsIncentive Program ManagementBenefit Management that will include but will not be limited to Medical, Dental, Vision, COBRA, Workers Compensation, Sun Life Short-Term Disability/Long-Term Disability/ Salary Continuation, Transamerica 401K, Leave of Absences, FMLA, Vacation/Sick Time/PTOCorresponds with Corporate office, Equifax and various employment commissions to complete unemployment hearings.Ensures all employees are separated timely and paid correctly.Tracks all trainings and coordinates scheduling with safety team.Maintains Incident log for Region and provides reporting for monthly safety and supervisor meetings.Reviews operating practices and procedures and recommends improvements to facilitate a more efficient and effective workflow process to provide support to the teamPrepares weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports for management for both HR and Safety.All other duties as assigned by Regional Office Manager.
