CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: If selected for this position, you will be required to: - Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment. - Have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Fund Transfer. - Go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9. Candidates must have one full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 level. Specialized Experience is defined as: Experience with running a mature Assessment & Authorization programs, and the management of POA&Ms. Experience in developing and reviewing disaster recovery and contingency plans and ensuring all identified weaknesses are addressed. Knowledge of FIMSA and working with outside authorities such as OMB or Inspector General and participation in IT audit processes. Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA) or Certified Authorization Professional (CAP) certifications are preferred.

- Knowledge of systems security laws, regulations, and policies to include:
(a) Review established policies/write new policies; (b) Evaluate policies of other government organizations; (c) Test and implement new policies; (d) Institute measures to ensure awareness and compliance.
- Ability to conduct internal control reviews of information technology systems and recommend attainable corrective actions for improvement. Furthermore, ability to apply project management techniques to successfully correct weakness identified as a result of the internal controls review.
- Knowledge of the assessment and authorization processes for major business systems in order to develop and maintain system security plans. Knowledge of developing Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) and working with Information Security System Officers and Systems Owners to remediate identified risks.
- Expert knowledge of enterprise IT architecture and new security developments. Strong demonstrated ability to review proposed designs of software and hardware systems for potential security risks.
- Ability to write and communicate effectively and to present complex and substantive issues in a clear, convincing and effectively organized manner.
