We are currently selecting experienced associates for our team who are passionate about and enthusiastic about being a part of the launch of this one of a kind landmark. The Director of Human Resources is a key executive committee level position reporting to the Managing Director. This person is accountable for the people, culture and all human resources related activities at Trump International Hotel Washington DC. This includes performance management, compensation and benefits, employee/labor relations, recruitment, talent management, succession planning, training and development, etc. along with overseeing the HR team and driving the hotel's culture., * Lead the human resources team to drive Trump culture and the associate experience * Provide human resource consultation to the General Managing Director and leaders through thoughtful, concise, and strategic advice * Partner with executive committee team in the development of the annual business plan and budget * Build a strong career and succession planning system to retain and develop talent * Ensure human resources team is partnering with operational managers to drive service quality and consistency initiatives throughout property, ensuring customer satisfaction scores are maintained and improved * Responsible for all compensation and benefit programs including managing plan renewal * Manage and resolve, promptly and completely, all employee relations issues * Guide and administer coaching and progressive discipline * Liaise with counsel as required on various matters from employment issues to immigration * Use judgment supported by business acumen and practical experience to escalate matters as required * Ensure compliance with all provincially and federally legislated employment standards, guidelines and human rights codes * Comply with and enforce Trump Washington DC polices & procedures and the Associate Handbook. * Other duties as assigned * Self-starter, innovator, results-driven with ability to meet both short and long term business goals * Innovative and change driven with a high sense of urgency * Proven ability to build strong working relationships, internal and external to the organization, through integrity and trust * Excellent communication and organizational skills; capable of adapting communication style to various mediums and levels of the organization * Outstanding attention to detail, organization, decision making and analytical skills * Ability to manage time well, meet imposed deadlines and ability to work flexible hours * Proven problem solving skills with ability to maintain composure in stressful situations * Seasoned coach and mentor Education & Experience: * 5 + years experience in Human Resources with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity * Previous hospitality experience is required; experience in a luxury environment is an asset * Degree, diploma or certificate in Human Resources Management or equivalent * Certified Human Resources Leader designation is an advantage * Knowledge of a second language is an asset * Proficiency in Microsoft applications
