Job Description FOOD SERVICE WORKER/COOKFull Time with Comprehensive BenefitsSalary commensurate to experience Brief Description:The Northern Virginia Juvenile Detention Center (NVJDC) a secure residential facility for juveniles ages 11-17 is seeking an experienced Food Service Worker/Cook to assume the day-to-day kitchen responsibilities. The Food Service Worker/Cook position daily responsibilities will encompass food preparation, menu planning, completing food logs, serving food, cleaning up, organizing dry stock and cooking a total 100 meals or more. Minimum Qualifications:The Food Service Worker/Cook must have a minimum of one year of food service experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. In addition, candidates must hold food handlers certification and have a valid drivers license. USDA experience is preferred. Applicants must be able to pass extensive background checks.
