Job DescriptionThe leasing assistant role plays a vital part in the companys internal organization and its connection to our clients and internal staff. You will be a key member of a growing, vibrant company with offices in Washington, DC and Boca Raton, FL. You will be expected to be highly motivated, innovative and ambitious for success. Compensation is base pay plus commission. The sky is the limit with allocated commission growth based on transaction growth.We are looking for a Leasing Assistant who can perform the following key roles:Leasing Assistance to the OwnerMake leasing calls for all of the owners clients, both shopping center clients and tenant clients under the owners guidanceTrack leads in progress, create an effective system to assure deals are followed and pushed to finish lineProduce regular leasing reports for Owners, Landlords & TenantsFollow up on prospect in progress on behalf of OwnerProactively communicate and assist with:Meeting Prep, Leasing Reports & Deals in ProgressCC Owner on all correspondence on all centers and retail tenants that you work onMake 100-150 callsUse the company leasing track spreadsheet to track all of your prospective dealsInternal Coordination / AdministrationAct as the voice of the company, answering and directing calls as necessaryCommunicating confidence and assuring clients of companys handling of their needsProviding insight into client issues and offering solutions to Thur Agents based on discussionsKeep Owner up to date by checking messages and alerting her to issues of the day. Follow up as needed. Remind Owner of leasing reports when they are due, generally monthly and also conference calls.Read industry news and local newspapers to learn of new retailers in the market or coming to the marketShare information with team in weekly meetingsArrive Early to set yourself up for successCreate an effective leasing client database of important information on their company (ie: website, locations, etc.)DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLSKnowledge of key DC/MD/VA or FL marketsBachelors Degree preferredStrong strategic, organizational and sales skillsMinimum 2 years commercial real estate experienceExcellent communication, written and presentation skillsProven experience identifying and closing dealsWorking knowledge of outlook, excel, word, google maps, etc.Fast learner on the use of commercial real estate tools - Costar, Loopnet, STDB Online, etc.Company DescriptionCompany DescriptionAt Thur & Associates and Thur Retail, we take our clients' needs seriously!
