## GRADE 16 ## LOCATION OF POSITION Deer's Head Hospital Center Salisbury Md. 21802 (Wicomico) ## Main Purpose of Job The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery and comfort of care to Chronic Hospital patients or Nursing Home residents. The nurse utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a select group of patients/residents requiring post acute care interventions. ## MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS **Education:** Determined by the Maryland State Board of Nursing under the licensing requirements for Registered Nurses. **Experience:** None. ## LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS 1. Candidates for positions in this classification must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland State Board of Nursing, 4140 Patterson Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21215. **A copy of your license must be attached to your application.** 2. Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of an automobile. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland. 3. Employees in this classification may be required to successfully complete cardiopulmonary resuscitation training and maintain current certification. As a contractual employee, you will be responsible for paying 25% of the premiums for your medical and prescription coverage, including any eligible dependents you have enrolled. The State of Maryland will subsidize the remaining 75% of the cost for these benefits.
