This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation and training.** **SUMMARY/GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF JOB**: The Bus Driver shall be required to drive Government owned/leased vehicles and/or Chugach provided vehicles which require a CDL-B with P endorsement. They shall be required to have a CDL-A with P endorsement per CBA, read and sign a statement of understanding of the rules and regulations regarding the use of government vehicles. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES & JOB FUNCTIONS**: * Operate Government or Chugach owned motor vehicles and/or other equipment on a daily basis. * Adhere to the established Chugach safety and personnel policies and standard operating procedures. * Drive automobiles, passenger vans, shuttle buses and up to 55 passenger buses to transport personnel within a 100 mile radius for various business concerns or government agencies. * Transport office personnel and visitors in cars, vans, shuttles and buses on post. * Perform miscellaneous errands such as (but not limited to); taking shuttles and or buses to and from washing areas. * Obtain receipts for articles/personnel delivered and maintain a log of items/personnel received and delivered. * Keep records of all personnel pick up and drop off times. * Complete trip tickets and preventative maintenance service records upon completion of each trip. * Perform driver maintenance to include, but not limited to: Inspecting interior/exterior of vehicles for cleanliness prior to dispatch; cleaning interior/exterior of vehicles in accordance with established rules and regulations * Wear dark slacks, steel toe shoes and provided collar shirts. * On occasion, Bus Drivers shall be required to wear a suit and tie. (The Government will provide twenty-four (24) hour advance notice when a suit and tie is required.) * Performs other duties as assigned. **Accountable For**: * Timely and cost effective performance of duties. * Harmoniously working with other Chugach employees and customers. * Working independently and adhering to established policies and guidelines. **Mandatory** * High school graduate or equivalent GED. * One (1) - Three (3) years of experience working as a Driver or in the field of Vehicle Operations. * Ability to drive various types of Government leased/owned vehicles to include automobiles, passenger vans, shuttle buses and up to 55 passenger buses. * Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations. * Mature judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision. * Ability to pass a pre-hire background and drug screen. * US Citizenship. * Active Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) with full scope poly level clearance. * Possess a valid State CDL Class A Driver License with aP (Passenger Transport) endorsement. * Ability to lift 50 pounds and team lift 75 pounds. **Preferred** * Five (5) years' work experience in the field of Vehicle operations.
