The Vice President, Operations - Real Estate, Procurement, and Facilities Management will report to the EVP, CFO, and work interdepartmentally with key stakeholders, Finance and Senior Leadership. As a member of Cvent's Operations team, he/she will assist with internal operations processes related to facilities and real estate across a wide range of business functions and departments such as the following: Real estate and facility management, vendor relationship management, operations management and management of operations staff across the company. This individual will have an immediate impact by improving corporate procurement policies and procedures for our 2,700 person, cloud-based software company. This individual will be responsible for managing the real estate initiatives and needs globally for 15 offices. What You Will Be Doing Collaborate across departments to deliver efficient and effective solutions to challenges related to business operations and facilities as well as managing all projects related to real estate with support from Senior Leadership Direct and execute strategic sourcing strategies, operational strategies, best practices, and initiatives that support improvements in real estate, procurement, and facilities Executes internal moves with operations staff, re-stacking and other office related project and responsibilities Serves as the first point of contact for all suppliers related to operations and real estate Manages the relationships with building management and landlords Use current information/data and business knowledge to identify real estate options for expansion and relocation as projects arise Own and manage daily physical office administration and office expansions Solve internal facilities challenges such as coordinating maintenance and working closely with human resources to manage internal resources and physical assets Evaluates and analyzes incumbent and potential suppliers in order to maximize company's purchasing power Own and manage vendor relationships and vendor contracts across 15 global offices Create and revise operational procedures while creating documentation based on best practices Executes category sourcing strategies including development and execution of RFI's and RFP's, documents bid events through correspondence to suppliers; develops selection criteria and drives the selection of suppliers in collaboration with business owners; leads supplier negotiations and ongoing supplier management Drive consolidation of spend and seek out synergies across business units Use current spend information/data and business knowledge to identify sourcing projects and develop an overall cost reduction plan Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of business requirements and the category strategy providing sound analytics Ad hoc projects as needed What You Need for this Position 15+ years of direct experience in contracts and procurement, or directly related roles Disciplined negotiator in large contract negotiations, able to balance cost, financial, quality and legal terms in complex negotiations Experience in supplier negotiations, developing/executing sourcing strategies and driving cost savings Proven track record of implementing and improving contract policies and procedures Ability and experience managing corporate contracts across departments Exceptional organizational and project management skills Strong decision making/problem solving and solution implementation Ability to comfortably work in an intensely deadline-oriented environment Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders Bachelor's degree required Preferred Requirements Hard-core negotiating skills Strong analytical skills and detail orientation Purchasing and contract renewal negotiations Former experience working with brokers is a plus Experience with managing remote staff
