JMT is searching for a results-oriented Business Development Specialist to help grow our Technology Group's Outdoor Licensing and Recreation practice. The selected candidate will assist with driving new business to the company through relationship-building, creativity and strategic thinking. Essential functions and responsibilities Drives new business by building relationships not only with outside customers, but within the company Identifies and predicts market trends in the Outdoor Licensing and Recreation industry through relationships, research, event attendance and publications. Maintains comprehensive knowledge of all potential customers and develops customer profiles that support the informed identification of targets and strategies. Identifies and pursues opportunities to expand brand recognition within market Supports product and business plan development activities Supports RFI and proposal development efforts Supports product development strategy to achieve competitive advantage Explores opportunities for strategic partnerships Identifies opportunities to generate additional revenue with existing and new clients Maintains comprehensive knowledge of customer marketing strategies and initiatives and develops new and innovative approaches in support of existing and potential clients Consults with customers on marketing strategies to help increase their revenue Works with product manager to effectively build synergy between marketing strategies and product features. Act as a facilitator between management, executives and external contracting sources Help implement growth strategies, participate in business meetings, and recommend changes to existing business practices to increase exposure and revenue Assist with budget development and provide support for existing initiatives Work with the marketing team to come up with effective campaigns that market our solution and services Track Business Development Opportunities using CRM software Participate in client organizations, conferences, events, etc. Involved in Professional organizations and committees Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of firm's practice areas, clients and competition Nonessential functions and responsibilities Perform other related duties as assigned Required Skills Knowledgeable of the RFP structure and proposal process for government agencies Must be results-oriented Excellent written and oral communication skills to interact with other teams in their organization and create strong business relationships with external partners Work independently with minimal supervision, but also work well in a team environment Must have strong analytical skills and be well organized Required Experience Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising or Technical discipline of JMT 5+ years of experience in marketing and / or business development Experience in Natural Resources market preferred Working Conditions Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment. Travel throughout the US for meetings and events are also required.
