Paul Spring Retirement and Assisted Living Community in Alexandria, Virginia is seeking an energetic, creative Executive Chef to bring a fine dining experience to our residents. This position manages all aspects of our food service operation and functions in a managerial role to kitchen staff. The Executive Chef will train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise and coordinate all related culinary activities to include special events, such as holiday meals and company sponsored functions. The ideal candidate will have a true appreciation for fine cuisine with 3-5 years' experience as an Executive Chef and a love and passion for helping our senior residents enjoy the finest dining experience possible. Responsibilities include: Direct and assist in the preparation of meals for residents and staff Creates monthly menus based on resident preferences and using appropriate nutritional guidelines Order food, produce and supplies Recruit, hire, train, and supervise cooks and other kitchen staff Adhere to all health department regulations and licensing requirements Oversee adherence to ABC license requirements Plan, organize and prepare special events for residents and families Ensure cleanliness and organization of kitchen, dining, and storage areas Maintain efficiency of all kitchen equipment.
