Job Duties: Under general supervision, but following established policies and procedures, develops new business plan and implements business depository, cash management, promotes the commercial online banking platform, and ancillary commercial services. Establishes policies and procedures for all functions in the commercial deposit and cash management, and online commercial banking lines of business, expands existing relationships, and services members. Will provide the highest level of service to commercial members in person and over the phone and provides administrative assistance to the commercial services team. Interacts with commercial lenders, business clients, loan operations, branches, and Apple's CUSO. Cross trains and learns other business service support functions and provides general support duties for department. Responsibilities: Develops a business plan to address the expansion of commercial deposit services within the objectives and resources of Apple Federal Credit Union's strategic plan. Creates and drafts policies and procedures to support all the various functions of the newly established business deposit department. Performs Branch liaison functions. Trains branch staff in commercial deposit functions and ancillary commercial products. Works with other departments to implement commercial deposit services. Makes recommendations for Vendors for Online Banking and other commercial deposit support functions. Completes annual budget for the commercial deposit function to meet strategic objectives. Administers all aspects of opening commercial deposit accounts and ancillary services and assists branches in opening commercial accounts. Monitors commercial banking and cash management activities including member service, periodic relationship reviews, and retention activities. Contacts prospective customers and provides implementation of the Commercial On-Line Banking and Remote Banking Solutions. Prepares loan committee approval record for Commercial Banking credit exposure and handles post-closing documentation tracking. Provides information for reports to lenders, senior management and the board. Works with external auditors and examiners for internal and external audit examinations. Takes phone calls from branches, loan officers and commercial clients and formulate appropriate actions necessary to assist them. Provides consultations with Commercial members and Apple commercial staff and cross sells other business banking products and services such as Merchant Services, Remote Banking and Payroll Services. Creates proposals and presentations to commercial businesses to sell Apple's Commercial Banking solution. Provides documentation for execution and review for online commercial banking features and high quality implementation. Troubleshoots online commercial banking problems and grants security level access to commercial banking by approved corporate officers. Updates messages within Apple's Commercial OnLine Banking webpage. Completes market surveys for online business banking products and services. Manages and executes department related projects. Works with eServices department to establish service support for commercial on-line banking portal. Draft procedures, disclosures and agreements for cash management, bill pay, remote deposit, mobile, ACH, Wire Transfer and client access. Trains new staff members and co-workers and provides some support administrative functions for online business banking transactions. Performs duties and responsibilities in accordance with The Apple Way principles, of Team Up, Inspire Promoters, Challenge Yourself and Own It. Remains cognizant of and adheres to credit union policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act. Performs other duties as assigned by the AVP of Commercial Services or other Commercial Services staff. Qualifications-all required unless otherwise noted: Bachelor's Degree in related field (Business, Finance) required. Eight years financial institution experience and Five years of cash management and commercial online banking experience required. Experience or willingness to learn Apple's commercial banking cash management, and core software systems, willing to learn NCUA's rules and regulations. Proficiency and working knowledge of Symitar and Silverlake is a plus, but experience in commercial banking core software systems is preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must possess the ability to work independently and multitask and analyze and solve problems. Ability to perform duties with accuracy and within timeframes. PC applications proficient including MS Word/Excel. Ability to function in a financial institution branch environment and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to: PC, fax, copier, telephone, postage machine, etc. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
