JOB SUMMARY:

The Strategic Advisor for Executive and Political Resources Management serves on the Executive and Political Resources Team within the Departmental Office of Human Resource Management (DOHRM). DOHRM is part of the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration in the Office of the Secretary. Its mission is to provide guidance and leadership to the Department through the delivery of best-in-class Human Capital and Human Resource services. The Executive and Political Resources Division is responsible for advising on a full range of technical and procedural requirements involving Senior Executive Service (SES) members and Political appointees, including but not limited to recruitment and placement, classification, position establishment, performance management, pay and compensation, and adverse actions. The Division also provides consultative and advisory services to all of the Office of the Secretary organizations, the Operating Administrations and executives in these areas.

The Office of the Secretary, DOHRM, Executive and Political Resources Division is looking for a Senior Level expert responsible for providing advice, guidance, and counsel to the senior leadership of DOT on an array of management and administrative matters related to executive and political resources management. The incumbent will serve as the Departmental expert and advisor for the strategic management of executive resources and provide advice and counsel to the most senior levels of Departmental leadership on complex, sensitive executive and political resources management issues.
