JOB SUMMARY:

This position is part of the African Development Foundation. The incumbent will serve as a Financial Management Analyst in the complex management and execution of the organization's financial programs by performing duties and assigned projects that are assigned by the Accounting Division.

    To qualify at the GS-9 grade level, you must possess one of the following:
    A. A Master's or equivalent graduate degree
    OR
    B. 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
    OR
    C. An equivalent combination of education or experience.
    OR
    D. 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 grade level in the Federal government. Examples of specialized experience include: obtaining, compiling, and summarizing narrative information and quantitative data for use by others within the office; verifying the costs of line items in the budget and entering the costs in standard forms and schedules; or extracting budget and program data from computer printouts of accounting records, forms, and reports for use by co-workers.

    To qualify at the GS-11 grade level, you must possess one of the following:
    A. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
    OR
    B. 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
    OR
    C. An equivalent combination of education and experience.
    OR
    D. 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 grade level in the Federal government. Examples of specialized experience include: employing organization's missions, functions, goals, objectives, work processes, and sources of funding; performing commonly used budget and/or finance practices, procedures, regulations, precedents, policies, and guides that specifically pertain to the work assigned in order to relate needs and accomplishments of the organization to anticipated and/or actual dollar figures in the budget; utilizing sources of factual data about budgeting and/or finance matters relevant to assigned tasks; working independently on routine or continuing assignments related to financial management.

    A written test is not required.

    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

    The duties of this position are suitable for occasional telework and the selectee may be allowed to telework with supervisor approval and if they meet the eligibility criterion in the 2010 Telework Act.
