Position Summary

InSight Telepsychiatry is seeking an internal communications coordinator to work with the marketing and communications department in Washington, DC and connect regularly with a national team of colleagues. This position is perfect for a communications professional who enjoys learning about a complex topic and then synthesizing that topic for different audiences. The internal communications coordinator will grow to become InSight’s primary writer and editor for internal resources and will also help with the writing, editing and creativity behind external copy.

InSight’s behavioral health providers bring care into any setting on an on-demand or scheduled basis. With over 18 years of telepsychiatry experience and an active footprint in telepsychiatry-related advocacy, InSight is recognized as an industry thought-leader. InSight is the telemedicine arm of the CFG Health Network, a behavioral health organization that delivers onsite services across the spectrum of care. These roots in onsite care influence InSight’s approach to appropriate, quality services delivered through telehealth.

Job Responsibilities

  • Create, edit and refine content for all of InSight’s core departments (talent, business development, internal operations and external operations). Content may include: standards of practice (SOPs), use guide, email templates and FAQs
  • Meet with InSight team members to understand what they do or manage and help to summarize that information into clear language for varying audiences
  • Create provider profiles which include bios, CVs and potential other biographical information for InSight’s telepsychiatry providers
  • Organize and administer rotating content checks for InSight’s content
  • Serve as a quality control for InSight by editing and checking formatting according to InSight brand guidelines
  • Create, edit and refine external facing content for InSight. Content may include: job description, handouts, white papers, case studies, presentations, abstracts, website copy, lead generation campaigns, advocacy campaigns, educational materials, proposal and RFP language
  • Research and summarize telepsychiatry related topics for different audiences
  • Help to update and maintain InSight’s brand standards
  • Support the marketing team with internal communication projects, including the roll out of new communication tools and channels
  • Be the marketing first point of contact for the following departments: provider onboarding, product, care navigation, access center, process and project management teams
  • All other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations or related field
  • Two years of writing or editing experience in a professional setting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Independent worker and team player
  • Organization and time management skills
  • Interest in behavioral health and/or telemedicine
  • Ability to multitask and balance priorities
