The Office of Communications (Code 130) is seeking a highly skilled individual to serve as Program Support Assistant (OA) to provide support to the supervisor in all matters relating to the program and organization and provide administrative support to the staff.

You must meet all qualifications requirements by the closing date of this announcement.You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade for which application is made, which has equipped you with particular competencies needed to successfully perform the duties of the position described above.
For GS-7 you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-6 level. Specialized experience is advising on practical aspects of office administration such as budgeting, purchasing, supply management, data processing, and/or files management; serving as liaison between the supervisor and staff; collecting, organizing, and maintaining program information and data; and utilizing various office automation software.
For GS-8 you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-7 level. Specialized experience is managing office operations by developing and implementing procedures related to office administration; serving as liaison between supervisor and staff; collecting and consolidating data and information into charts, graphs, reports or presentations; and utilizing various office automation software.
This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
This position is being announced in conjunction with a Merit Promotion vacancy announcement number GS18C0006.
