Supervisory Physical Security Specialist (Design/Installation)

This position is located in the Security Services Bureau, Physical Security Division, Project Planning Section. The Physical Security Division is responsible for the planning, installation and maintenance of security systems throughout the Capitol Complex used to safeguard Members of Congress, staff, visitors, property, and national security information of the Legislative Branch. The Project Planning Section (PPS) conducts long-term planning and coordination of the installation of physical security systems on the Capitol Complex and other facilities under USCP jurisdiction. The incumbent of this position understands the design and installation engineering specifications for physical and electronic security systems.

Specialized experience is defined as experience designing and managing physical and electronic security systems at government facilities; and delivering high quality written and verbal reports on technical subjects.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for the CP-12 level: You must possess at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the CP-11 level.
Specialized experience is defined as experience designing and managing physical and electronic security systems at government facilities; delivering high quality written and verbal reports on technical subjects; and developing specific guidelines and procedures used by subordinate staff.
