Suitability Determination: If selected, you will be subject to a security investigation to establish your suitability for federal employment. The security investigation will include, among other aspects, a review of your credit and legal history.Basic Qualifications: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11), which is directly related to this line of work and MUST be fluent in the Mandarin and English languages with the ability to read, write, report in both languages.
Specialized Experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position includes professional experience as field reporter and producer to research, write, shoot and edit highly-targeted original news or feature video packages for multimedia platforms such as TV, radio, Internet, social media, and mobile devices. Professional skill in videography and video editing, using a digital video camera, and demonstrated ability to turn around stories in a timely manner.
