Corporate Relations Program Manager
- Develops and implements communication and engagement strategies that increase corporate contributions to Fairfax County agencies and nonprofit partners.
- Identifies and promotes employee engagement and community contribution opportunities for area employers, including Fairfax County.
- Measures and reports the Return on Investment of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives facilitated through OP3 and the value of corporate contributions county-wide.
- This position reports to the OP3 executive director.
Any combination of education, experience and training equivalent to: graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in social services or human services, or with major course work in a specialty that confers within a community-based service delivery setting (for example, child development and family studies, education, public administration, recreation), or other related field; plus five years of professional experience in the social services, human services, or other community-based service delivery service or setting; two of which included supervising professional staff. A master's degree in an appropriate field may be substituted for one year of the required experience.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
Valid driver's license.
Master's degree in business, public administration, communications or related field.
Five to seven years of demonstrated success developing public private partnerships that leverage resources. Knowledge of current trends and best practices in corporate citizenship, philanthropy, and nonprofit development. At least three years in a corporate setting with senior-level experience including responsibility for strategy and execution of corporate responsibility and partnership building.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in the development, implementation, communication, and evaluation of strategic cross-sector initiatives to affect positive change.
Strong ethics and integrity, value and appreciation of public service.
Experience with corporate employee and volunteer engagement, emergency preparedness, and/or workforce development.
Corporate experience and contacts in Fairfax County and training/certification in corporate citizenship/corporate social responsibility, highly desired.
The appointee to the position must satisfactorily complete a criminal background check.
May be required to provide emergency services work in the event of an emergency or disaster.
Ability to communicate with others in person and via computer.
Ability to drive and/or use public and private transit to travel to locations throughout DC metro area.
Job is generally sedentary in nature, however, visual acuity is required to read data on computer monitor, incumbent must be able to operate keyboard equipment and telephone. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
