The Department of Justice (DOJ), National Security Division is seeking to hire a highly qualified Information Technology Specialist (Information Security) within the Executive Office to provide multiple and varying assignments in the areas of Information Technology.
The National Security Division (NSD) is responsible for coordinating the Department's efforts in carrying out its core mission of combating terrorism and protecting national security. NSD is responsible for developing, enforcing, and supervising the application of all federal criminal laws related to the national counterterrorism and counterespionage enforcement programs, except those specifically assigned to other divisions. NSD also serves as the Department's liaison to the United States Intelligence Community (USIC), including when the USIC appears before the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court. In addition, NSD advises the Attorney General regarding all matters of National Security Policy.

To qualify for the GS-13, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, including the following: 1) applying IT policies, procedures and practices for IT services; 2) managing IT systems; 3) applying IT security processes and procedures; and 4) applying project management methodologies and techniques.
To qualify for the GS-14, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service, including the following: 1) developing and implementing IT policies, procedures, and strategies for IT services; 2) providing oversight and managing IT systems; 3) applying IT security processes and procedures; and 4) applying project management methodologies and techniques.
